Searches that return a large set of data (such as finding all compounds with an "A" prefix) can take up to a minute to complete. Pleae be patient if you are performing a "general" search.

Basic text searches are inclusionary. i.e., if you enter "diol" as your search criterion for Catalogue Name, all compounds that have"diol" anywhere in the name will be found. If you enter "1" as your search criterion for Catalogue Page, compounds from pages 1, 10, 11, 21, and so on, will be found.

You may constrain your search by using symbols:

Symbol	Example Usage	Description
=	Catalogue Page: =1	Returns records in which the entry exactly matches your criteria. This example will find only those compounds on page 1.
>	Molecular Weight: >350	Returns all compounds with a molecular weight greater than 350.
<	Molecular Weight: <350	Returns all compounds with a molecular weight less than 350.
...	Molecular Weight: 300...350	Returns all compounds with a molecular weight between 300 and 350, inclusive.

Entering more than one criterion will further constrain your search. (The system will perform a boolean "and" search.) For example, entering Catalogue ID: A and Catalogue Page: =100, will return all compounds with a Catalogue ID beginning with A on page 100 (assuming there are any).
